Fatal house fire reported in Loudon County; victim
not yet ID'd News Sentinel staff A remote home outside Loudon burned to the ground before deputies arrived Thursday, and detectives found human remains in the rubble late that afternoon, the Loudon County Sheriff's Office reports. The residence at 10840 Notch In Hill Road outside the city limits "had been burning for some time" when deputies were called, according to a press release. "After receiving numerous calls in reference to the welfare and whereabouts of the man who lived at this address, detectives responded to the scene," the release states, and human remains were found. The remains were sent to the University of Tennessee Medical Examiner's office to attempt to obtain a positive identification. |
