The re-election of Barack
Obama now forces many of us to accept a harsh reality. America as we
know it has ended. His election in 2008 could have foretold the truth
but it was possible it was a fluke, just an anomaly of our election
process. Obama being re-elected seals the deal.
The thought of a liberal,
socialist like Obama as the president is terrifying enough but the
reality that a majority of the voters in this country, after knowing all
we know about him, would re-elect him to a second term is proof beyond a
reasonable doubt that our country as we know it is lost.
By his own statements and
actions, Barack Obama has proven he is anti Christian, anti American and
opposes everything that has made America the greatest nation on earth.
Yet, the majority re-elected him.
Barack Obama emphatically
supports abortion on demand from conception to late term even to the
murder of an infant that actually survives an attempted abortion. Barack
Obama emphatically supports all gay rights including changing the
definition of what marriage is to include same sex marriage. He has
expanded the entitlement class to levels never seen. Yet, the majority
re-elected him.
In his first term as president,
Obama's policies have led to the worst economic conditions since the
great depression, the highest continuous unemployment since the great
depression, the most people in poverty since the great depression, the
lowest household income for Americans in the last forty years, the
highest number of people on food stamps in history. Yet, the majority
re-elected him.
Gasoline prices have doubled
under Obama and energy costs across the board have skyrocketed just as
he said they would if he got elected. Costs for all basic
necessities have increased dramatically. Yet, the majority re-elected
him.
Obama and his accomplices'
initiated a program that allowed weapons to be placed in the hands of
Mexican drug dealers that killed hundreds, including Americans, in an
attempt to push an anti gun agenda and by all accounts he sat by and
watched as four Americans were brutally murdered and has lied about it
ever since. Yet, the majority re-elected him.
Obama has abandoned the nation
of Israel and befriended the radical muslims who have vowed to
annihilate both America and Israel. He has allowed Iran to come to the
threshold of possessing nuclear weapons. Yet, the majority re-elected
him.
Obama engineered the takeover
of the entire American healthcare system through deceit, bribes and
outright lies. He has divided America in ways we haven't seen since the
Civil War. He has incurred more national debt in four years than all
other presidents that came before him. He has put the country on a path
to total destruction. Yet, the majority re-elected him.
Barack Obama is just a part of
the cause of the country's demise, he is also a product of what our
nation has become. Barack Obama as the president and now a two term
president doesn't create as much fear in me as does the fact that a
majority of this country now sides with him and his desire to
"fundamentally change America."
I've noticed in some news
articles but much more on social media outlets, many people like myself
who are dismayed to believe Obama could be re-elected with such a
horrendous background and record. I've also noticed that many have
offered biblical scriptures that support the idea that God is in control
or that he will spare our nation. While I'm a firm believer that God is
in fact in control of everything and that God can change the world, I
question why God would want to intercede on behalf of America at this
point.
After all, we as a nation, have
done everything in our power to exclude God from our nation. Our
political leaders banned God from our government, our schools and our
public squares. The moral standards of our country have so degenerated
that what has now become acceptable behavior was once considered
blasphemous.
You can only flaunt evil in the
face of God for so long. I say again, why would God feel any obligation
to continue to bless this nation.
Those my age and older will at
least be able to say we remember when America was great and the leader
of the world. We remember when America stood for truth, honor and moral
righteousness. Those days are gone forever.
America is lost. This is the
end. The majority has spoken.
A democracy is always
temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a
permanent form of government. A democracy will continue
to exist up until the time that voters discover that
they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public
treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes
for the candidates who promise the most benefits from
the public treasury, with the result that every
democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal
policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship. The
average age of the world's greatest civilizations from
the beginning of history has been about 200 years.
During those 200 years, these nations always progressed
through the following sequence:
- From bondage to
spiritual faith;
- From spiritual
faith to great courage;
- From liberty to
abundance;
- From abundance
to selfishness;
- From selfishness
to complacency;
- From complacency
to apathy;
- From apathy to
dependence;
- From dependence
back into bondage.
Alexander Fraser Tytler
Because we have abolished
the absolute standards of truth, rejected the
biblical worldview and embraced religious pluralism;
we have lost our compass, our rudder and our anchor.
We are now adrift on an ocean of relativism,
materialism, evolution, atheism and immorality.
Without any rationale for determining right from
wrong, we have no hope of finding our way!
Pray that God would teach us the absolute utter
dependence we have upon Him and His Word. The future
for America may include sever chastening, and we and
our children may suffer as well, however the future
for the believer is not now nor has it ever been in
jeopardy. Trust in the Lord!
