Election Time
Believe it or not, the next election cycle is about to get underway. This Friday, Sept, 11, will be the first day candidates may pick up qualifying petitions to seek office for the March 1st, 2016 election. On the local level, there will only be 2 seats on the ballot. The office of Loudon County Property Assessor and the newly created 2nd Division General Sessions Judge. Incumbent Property Assessor, Mike Campbell will be seeking re-election. Newly appointed 2nd Division General Sessions Judge, Hank Sledge, will also be seeking to win the judicial seat. Candidates will have till noon, December 10th to fill their petitions to seek office. On the national level, this will be the presidential preference primary. Both parties will be electing their presidential candidates. This will be a high turnout election.
