Eaton Elementary, North Middle schools in Loudon County changing arrival process

LENOIR CITY (WATE) – A new arrival process is being implemented this school year at Eaton Elementary and North Middle schools in Loudon County in an effort to help more cars get through the line more quickly.

There will be three different lines of traffic: NMS only, EES and NMS only and EES only. Parents dropping off their children should pull forward to the end of the sidewalk at Mr. Freddie’s star so as many children as possible can be unloaded and the line can keep moving.

Parents walking their children in should park at the church and walk them over using the paved/gravel sidewalk. People should also only cross the street in the designated crosswalk zones painted on the road. The straight away at the top of the hill to the back parking lot will now be closed to help protect those walking from the church.

Afternoon dismissal will remain the same as last year. Loudon County students go back to school on August 7.
