Early Vote Update II
With one more week to go in early voting, the numbers
who have turned out so far is not too bad. At the end of voting Friday,
2,318 Loudon County voters had taken advantage of the convenience of
early voting or voted absentee. Still with more than 32,000 registered
voters in the county, the number should be a lot higher.
Historically, this election is the lowest turnout election of all elections. Four years ago in 2008, a total of 6,337 voters turned out to cast their ballots. Of course back then there was a $50 wheel tax on the ballot. The same election in 2004 the turnout county wide was a scant 2,644. With more than 2,300 already voted early, it's possible we could have a bigger turn out this August than back in 2008. There are a lot of important positions and issues to be decided in this election. Please exercise your right to vote. Oh and by the way, Re-Elect Van Shaver to the Loudon County School Board, District 5, seat "B". Thanks. Early Vote Totals By Location
