Early Vote Totals
With early voting over, one could say turnout so far
is up from the same election four years ago. On the other hand, one
could say turnout thus far is very low. Both statements would be
correct. The total early vote and absentee voting was 3,754. That number is certainly higher than four years ago but with more than 32,000 registered voters in the county, that number is kind of sad. For the last several elections, the county vote has been pretty much a 50/50 deal. Meaning about 50% usually vote early and 50% vote on election day. We'll have to wait till after Thursday to see if that trend continues. If it does, it would be the largest turnout for the August election cycle. Below is a table showing the early voting by day. Below that are the totals by district. They're not entirely accurate. Except for the fifth district, I'm missing a couple of day's totals but the numbers are pretty close. I'll try to get the exact numbers by district soon. Thursday is election day. If you didn't vote early, be sure to get to the polls, open 8:00-8:00. Oh and by the way, Re-Elect Van Shaver to the Loudon County School Board, District 5, seat "B". Thanks. Early Vote Totals By Location
