Even though the building has been partially torn down, according to Lenoir City officials, the owner/contractor failed to obtain a demolition permit from the city before beginning the demolition of the old building so the city issued a stop work order on the project. Application for a permit has now been made and completion of the demolition should finished soon.

Anyway, the old Dairy Queen is a goner and a new Jets Pizza is coming soon.
