So, Don't Build In Loudon County

I read with absolute disgust, the article in the Knoxville News Sentinel about how opposed the developers are that Loudon County is going to adopt the Adequate Facilities Tax. Click here to read the story. Who do these people think they are?

In my opinion the out of control development has just about destroyed the County. I hope they all leave Loudon County and go some where else to make their money. Why do they want to build in Loudon County any way? To here them tell it, they are helping us out. Well here's a news flash, WE DON'T NEED YOU! We were doing just fine before you got here. Developers have targeted Loudon County for one reason, M-O-N-E-Y. Developers have discovered gold in Loudon County. Cheap land, low taxes and few regulations.

I don't care if the new Adequate Facilities Tax raises one dollar or one million dollars. If it discourages one developer from destroying one more acre of our precious land it will be well worth it.

The developers fight is not really about money, it's about power. If it were just about the money, then why aren't they up in arms and attending the LCUB meetings protesting the outrageous, newly adopted water and sewer fees which in most cases will be far greater than the Adequate Facilities Tax. Unlike the Adequate Facilities Tax, the utilities fees have to be paid up front before the homes are built or sold. So, developers, get off our backs. You all have had a free ride long enough. If you don't like our tax, please, please, please go some where else. We won't miss you at all. I here you can get cheap property in Mexico.
