Deputy's Wife Pleads Guilty
| Callie Davis, wife of Assistant Chief Deputy, Jimmy Davis, pled guilty in Criminal Court, August 13th, to one count of Theft of Property. Ms. Davis was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation and assessed court costs of $571.50. Ms. Davis was originally charged with one count of Identity Theft, a felony. The plea agreement down, to property theft, reduces the offence to a misdemeanor. The identity theft charges were filed in June, 2006 after Ms. Davis was arrested for using her ex husband's social security number to obtain services without his permission or knowledge. Her trial had been postponed eight times since her arrest. |
