Woman Found Tuesday Died Of Natural Causes

Rumors of a slaying at McGhee Square swirled after the body of a 52 year old woman was found in an apartment, but an autopsy revealed Susan Tallent died of natural causes, said Lenoir City Police Department Chief Don White.

 

Tallent's  body was found at 225 Kelly Lane Apt. 2J after a neighbor made a 9-1-1 call around 10:30 a.m. reporting an unconscious female at the residence, White said.

 

White said he was unaware of any reason why the rumors of Tallent's death being a murder were started.

 

Any time we have a death and the cause of death is unknown, we're going to process the scene to ensure there was no foul play and that's exactly what we did he said.
