Angie Housley, formerly Chambers, Loudon County Mayor's secretary has submitted her resignation effective August 30. Ms. Housley will be going to work for newly elected District Attorney Russ Johnson as his personal secretary.

Please accept this letter as my official resignation as Assistant to the Mayor, effective August 30, 2006. 
I have enjoyed working with you and the commission over the past five years. 
The opportunity you have given me has been a valued learning and growing experience,
both professionally and personally, that I will carry with me always. 

I realize that sixteen days is not adequate notice. Therefore, I will be available to you and/or Mayor-Elect Arp
in the evenings and on weekends, as my schedule permits, throughout the month of September to hopefully
allow for a smooth transition. 

Again, thank you so much for your guidance and support throughout my employment with Loudon County.
