Carpenter Retiring

Long time Loudon County Board Of Education administrative assistant to the director, Nancy Carpenter, has announced her retirement. In an email to staff and others, Carpenter states that she plans to join her husband in retirement and spend time with her family and grandchildren. Carpenter has been with the BOE for eighteen years, the last sixteen at central office. Carpenters retirement will be effective October 1st.

To All,

I would like to announce, that after much consideration and family discussion, I will be “retiring” after eighteen years with the Loudon County Board of Education effective September 30th.

My husband recently retired and my youngest daughter and her husband are expecting their first baby the end of April. (That will make three grandchildren for us.)  I will miss the many, many friends I have made over the years and hope to remain in contact with you.  My niece currently attends Highland Park and if my daughter and son-in-law find a home in the 6th district, where they are looking, my grandchild will too!

I will continue to support education in Loudon County and those who work so hard to make sure the students of Loudon County receive a quality education.  Thank you all for your support during my career with Loudon County Schools.
