Candidate Files Suit
| Roane County Attorney, Tom McFarland, who ran for Ninth Judicial
Circuit Court Judge but lost the election, has now filed a law suit
against the Roane County Election Commission and the winning candidate
for the same office, Mike Pemberton.
Loudon County is part of the Ninth Judicial District. McFarland claims in his suit that Pemberton was not a resident of Roane County at the time of the deadline to qualified to be on the ballot and therefore should not have been placed on the ballot. The law suit asks that the court nullify the results of the election. |
