Board Sees New Plans
The Loudon County Board Of Education got it's first
look at plans for the New Loudon Middle School and the new
Greenback school. Community Tectonics, the architect firm contracted to
develop plans for both schools unveiled their first drawings for both
schools. The provided at least a couple of different options for both
buildings The new middle school is proposed to have approximately 89,000
sq. ft. with the new Greenback School containing approximately 177,000
sq. ft. Most board members were pleased with the preliminary plans for both schools with some questions about the sizes of the buildings. The architects also reported that the cost projections have come down since the original cost projections were given. The board was told that constructions costs will be as much as 20% lower than first reported. The architects are expected to be at the board's next meeting with even more detail. |
