Bledsoe Honored
Long, long time Loudon County commissioner, Roy Bledsoe, was honored
at Monday's commission meeting for his 48 years of service as a
commissioner. A proclamation from the governor was read by State Representatives, Jimmy Matlock and Kent Calfee and State Senator Randy McNally. A large number of Bledsoe's family were in attendance for the event. Mr. Bledsoe chose not to seek re-election this term after having served twelve terms. I think he was the longest serving commissioner in the state. Bledsoe commission seat will be filled by forth district resident, Leo Bradshaw, who won the seat in the May primary election. |
