South-Doyle High gets new principal

By News Sentinel staff

South-Doyle High School this fall will have a new principal.

Knox County Schools Superintendent Jim McIntyre on Tuesday announced the appointment of Tim Berry as the school's chief.

He's replacing Clifford Davis who has been appointed as supervisor of secondary education in the central office.

Berry was principal of North Middle School in Loudon County until June when the director of schools there announced he would return to the classroom.

Davis this spring was among the finalists for director of Alcoa City Schools. A Blount County educator was ultimately chosen to fill the top spot.
