August Petition Updates

Two incumbents and one new candidate have picked up petitions to run for Lenoir City school board. Incumbents Rick Chadwick (R) and Glenn McNish (R) have already returned their petitions and qualified to seek re-election. Lenoir City resident, Tammy Powell (R), has also picked up a qualifying petition for school board. Three of the five school board seats will be on the August ballot. Lenoir City school board elections are "At Large" meaning, the top three vote getters win a seat.

Incumbent 21st District State Representative, Lowell Russell (R), has already filed his petition and has qualified to seek re-election. Tellico Village resident, Kenneth Moore (D) has picked up a qualifying petition to challenge Russell. The 21st District encompasses Monroe County and a portion of Loudon County.
