ATT Fiber?

One of the hottest topics locally is broadband internet. Everybody wants it but it's not available in most places.

For the last year, we've seen AT&T all over Loudon County putting in underground piping. According to the workers putting it in, it's for broadband fiber optic cables. While I was out campaigning, I saw the workers all over the rural areas of our district running their lines. In the last couple of weeks, I've noticed the AT&T workers working on above ground lines. According to Mike, a worker I spoke with, AT&T plans to be offering broadband fiber optic all around the county in the next three to four months.

Now I've noticed all the areas they're working in, they're putting out the little signs like above. I went to the website to try to get information but didn't find very much. I also couldn't find any phone number to call anyone. Maybe some of you might have better success in getting information. If they're really about to bring broadband fiber optic to large areas of the county, that's a big deal and I know a lot of folks will be happy.

Just watch for the little blue signs and I guess that means they're in the area. Let me know if you find out anything.
