Athens woman charged in road rag

An Athens woman was arrested in Loudon Thursday after an apparent road rage incident.

Loudon County Sheriff’s Patrolman Jeffery Russell was dispatched for an automobile accident on Corporate Park Drive and encountered a car on its side in the roadway.

Russell spoke to the offender, Brianna Luaine Jackson, 25, who stated that the victim cut her off in traffic on I75. Jackson said she called 911 to report the vehicle and then followed it off the freeway in an attempt to catch up to it.

Two passengers were in the car with her at the time, including an 11-month old child. The victim stated that when one of the passengers climbed out of the overturned car, she could hear Jackson telling them to hit her in the face.

Jackson was charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment and released on $20,000 bond.
