Previously Walton has sold 853 shares of the 1,042 shares available. The latest deeds show another 183 shares sold. Late last year, 2022, Walton Tennessee bought the nearly 400 acres in Hotchkiss Valley for $4,694,149.00. The have now sold $10,330,600.00 in "undivided interest" in the same property to almost all foreign investors.
In another development, Anthony Sparrow, with Walton Global has asked to address the Loudon County commission at our January 16th workshop. Apparently, Mr. Sparrow, wants to share with the commission what Walton can bring to Loudon County. I have no idea what Sparrow is wanting to ask of commission but if it's any kind of re-zoning that would allow high density development, that's not even an option. All the land in question is currently zoned A-1 which would only allow one house per acre, not what developers are looking for.
