Answering Questions

Back in August last year, county commission submitted a number of questions to the school board asking for historical data and information pertaining to the school system's massive increases in spending over the last few years while the enrollment has stayed relatively the same.

Here it is, nearly seven months later and it looks like the school board has it's response to commission ready. Actually, board members have had no input in the response and in fact haven't themselves been allowed to see the report. The reality is that the director of schools, Wayne Honeycutt and other administrators have prepared the response without board input.

Honeycutt is set to present his report this Thursday to school board members before he presents the report to commission at their meeting next Monday.
