Another Judge Candidate

A second candidate for the open Lenoir City Judge position has picked up a qualifying petition. Porsche Shantz picked up a petition Wednesday.

Candidates have till next Thursday, noon to qualify.

LOUDON COUNTY ELECTION NOTICE

Pursuant to TCA §2-12-111(a) notice is hereby given to the Voters of Loudon County and the Voter of the City of Lenoir City, that in conjunction with the August Federal/State Republican and Democratic Primary Election and the Loudon County General Election on August 4, 2016, an election will be held to fill the following vacancies that have occurred:

Lenoir City Judge-to fill unexpired term

**You must be a registered voter in the City Limits of Lenoir City to vote in this election.**

Qualifications for Lenoir City Judge:

General Provisions Governing Qualifications for Office set out in TCA §8-18-101.

Resident of the City of Lenoir City one (1) year.

Resident of the State of Tennessee five (5) years preceding election.

At least thirty (30) years old and licensed to practice law in Tennessee.


Tennessee Democratic State Executive Committeewoman 5th State Senatorial District
To fill unexpired term

Qualifiations for State Executive Committeewoman:

Basic Qualifications of TCA §8-18-101.

In each party’s primary, its voters in each senatorial district shall elect one (1) man and one (1)

woman as members of the state executive committee. TCA §2-13-103

Shall be bona fide members of the political party whose election they seek. TCA §2-13-104

This office is for the 5th State Senatorial District, which includes Loudon, Anderson and Knox County.

A person seeking this position will need to pick-up and file their petition in their home county and

then file certified copies of their petition in the other two (2) counties in the 5th State Senatorial

District before the qualifying deadline.
