And The winner Is?
| Looks like Lenoir City Council is ready to make
things right when it comes to the duties of treasurer/recorder. Council
voted unanimously Monday night to return the duties of the city court
clerk back to treasurer/recorder, Bobby Johnson Jr. However council
asked that a new ordinance be written by the city attorney for the
council to vote on to make sure they get it right this time. That vote
is expected at the next council meeting. This should finally put this
issue to bed. Noticeably absent from the meeting was city judge, Terry Vann. One of Vann's clerks was in attendance but did not speak. |
