Almost Done
| If the weather cooperates and all goes well, the
bridge over Fort Loudon Dam will be completed soon maybe within two
weeks or less. The work on resurfacing the bridge was divided into four
sections. Workers are now on the last section and have already removed
the top layer of the old concrete. Pouring of the new top coat should
begin next week.
For those of us who must travel over the bridge on a regular basis, the reopening can't come soon enough. Hopefully this will be the last construction on the old bridge till the new one is built. |
