All Six Guilty
Last month's under age alcohol sting resulted in six
guilty convictions. All six individuals cited for selling alcohol to an
underage, undercover officer were found guilty for their infraction of
the beer laws and fined $50.00 plus court costs. LCPD plans more stings
in the future. The information will now be turned over to the Lenoir City Beer Board for any actions necessary against the businesses. PRESS RELEASE March 21, 2007 On February 23, 2007 the Lenoir City Police Department conducted an undercover operation checking compliance with establishments that serve and sell beer in Lenoir City. There were six employees at six different establishments that were cited for selling beer to an underage Knoxville Police Department Cadet. On March 21, 2007 all six of the cited individuals were found guilty of selling beer to a minor in Loudon County General Sessions Court.
