| Two more candidates have filed their qualifying
petitions and one new candidate has picked up a petition.
Julia Hurley has qualified to challenge incumbent 2nd
district commissioner, Earlena Maples and Martin Fugate qualified to
seek the County Clerk office.
New candidate, Robert Epley, picked up a petition to
seek the 6th district commission seat.
Unbelievably, with the deadline just a few hours away,
it looks like Circuit Court Clerk, Lisa Niles, will be running
unopposed. After costing the tax payers hundreds of thousands of dollars
in her four year lawsuit, looks like her reward will be four more years
in office. Given her long history of doing so, I'd say we can expect
another lawsuit from her in September.
Today, 2/15, noon, is the deadline to qualify.
After all deadlines pass, I will set up a page with
everything about the May election.
