A Look Back

With the 2018 November election coming up, it might be interesting to look back at the 2014 election for the same seats. The turnout might be a little higher this year, but probably not significantly.

There are some differences this election. Four years ago, Lenoir City had 5 council candidates running for three seats. This year, 6 for 3 seats. The two Lenoir City school board seats were unopposed four years ago, this year, 4 candidates for the 2.

Loudon had 8 council candidates for 4 seats. This year 10. 3 mayor candidates four years ago, 2 this year.

While all the Greenback aldermen are running unopposed, 42 year incumbent mayor, Tom Peeler is being challenged by Dewayne Birchfield.

All in all, should be an exciting election.

Notice, back in 2014, the Loudon council even had a tie. Every vote counts.
