CARYVILLE (WATE) - A crash Tuesday afternoon involving three tractor-trailers on Interstate 75 northbound claimed the life of one driver.

The semis crashed at 4:20 p.m. near mile marker 134, and one caught fire.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says two of the tractor-trailers were traveling northbound in the right lane. Both were traveling slow due to the road construction in the area.

A third tractor-trailer did not slow down and slammed into the backs of the other trucks.

The driver of the third truck, Steven C. Wright, 48, of Greenback, was killed in the crash.

The other two drivers were injured. They were identified as Mark T. Montgomery, 28, of Shelbyville, Illinois and Brian T. Collins, 55, of Mattoon, Illinois.

Northbound lanes were closed for a time, but reopened early Wednesday morning.
