Participants will wind their way along Tellico Village Parkway and surrounding highways and byways.
The event offers four rides from which participants can choose: 100-mile Century, 100K, 50K and easy 25K.
The 100-mile Century extends as far south as Athens and the 100K extends to Madisonville.
All rides begin and end at First Baptist Church of Tellico Village, 205 Chota Road in Loudon.
The donation is $40 per rider before Sept. 25. After that date, the donation is $45.
Both online and mail-in registration forms and waivers are available online at tourdetellico.com. Registration is also available the day of the event.
Check-in and registration for the century and 100k is 7 a.m., warm-up at 7:45 a.m. and 8 a.m. start. Check-in for the 50k and 25k rides is 8 a.m., warm-up at 8:45 a.m. and 9 a.m. start.
Tour de Tellico was the brainchild of Pastor Charlie Barnard of First Baptist Church of Tellico Village and Tom Irmen of Tellico Plains. Prior to moving to Tellico Village, Charlie Barnard had participated in a similar ride while pastoring in South Carolina.
The first ride was in 2006, and since that time, the event has raised approximately $120,000 for charity.
Volunteers are also needed for this event. For more information, email: TdeT17@gmail.com or call 423-884-3369.
