$100,000 More #2

At last Tuesday's county commission meeting, a majority of commissioners voted to give Lenoir City an additional, nearly $100,000.00 to do the improvements to at the Harrison Road and Hwy. 95 intersection and widen the road to Harrison Glen subdivision. In 2007, Loudon County committed to donate $176,900.00 to the project. This now brings the county's commitment to improve the city street to nearly $276,000.00. A great deal for Lenoir City.

The one stipulation set out in both resolutions for the county to donate funding to the city road project is that Lenoir City will have to annex all of Harrison Road from Hwy. 95 to Hubbard Road and take over all maintenance of the road. No private property will be included in the annexation.
